10 years End of Summer by Jóhann Jóhannsson with Hildur Guðnadóttir & Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe

The LP version of this beautiful soundtrack to Jóhann Jóhannsson’s super 8 film was released 10 years ago on this day, after a major delay due to production problems. When Erik made the design for the laser-cut sleeves, we had no idea of the consequences. We sent it to the printer, who (un)fortunately didn’t properly check the layout and based the quote on the previous production. It later turned out that this was a huge mistake. Instead of one minute, they needed 30 minutes for one single LP cover (15 minutes for the CD/DVD version), which led to a delay of several months.

It’s truly one-of-a-kind that will never be repeated, and we’re so happy that Jóhann approached us about this very special release and that we were able to work with him on it.

We did a reissue of the LP without laser-cut sleeves in 2020, but all physical editions are now sold out. However, the music is available digitally on all major platforms. The film is available on YouTube
